Sam Rocha has lived and traveled throughout the U.S., Europe, Canada, Mexico, and Central America where he has accumulated extensive experience as a university instructor, freelance musician and speaker, and creative consultant.
Sam is currently living in Columbus, Ohio, where he is pursuing a Ph.D. at Ohio State University as a Gates Millennium Scholar. He is interested in a variety of issues and subjects ranging from academic philosophy, education and schooling, religion and spirituality, and art - especially music.
Sam has played guitar for over twenty years and has served as a director of liturgical music, a studio musician, and a live performer. He has toured with the acapella singing group, The Beatitudes, and was the band leader for the Twin Cities bands, Chema and Jammin with Sam. As a freelance artist, Sam has worked as a guitarist and vocalist for numerous bands and artists including: The Roots, Sonar, Martin Doman, Steve Angrisano, Joe Zelek, Fr. Stan Fortuna, Katie-Rose, and many others.
